About
Growing up I was fascinated by animal behaviour, wondering what animals could think and feel. As I completed my BSc and MSc in France, I had the opportunity to learn about a variety of species: cows, pigs, servals, etc.
I started working with the Animal Welfare Program at the end of my MSc. At the UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre, I learned about dairy cattle welfare and collaborated on multiple research projects. I appreciated being able to apply my theoretical knowledge about animal behaviour to improving the life of dairy cows and calves.
As part of my PhD research, I study the social behaviour of dairy cattle. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how personality and coping styles can create variation in their social behaviour, and the implications for welfare.
