Dr Marina von Keyserlingk has been recognized with the 2024 ISAE Creativity Award

Earlier this summer the 57th Congress of the International Society for Applied Ethology (ISAE) took place in Curitiba, Brazil from July 22nd to July 26th 2024. Many members of the UBC Animal Welfare Program (AWP) attended the event. 

Dr Marina (Nina) von Keyserlingk, AWP Professor, was recognized with the 2024 ISAE Creativity Award. This award is presented to a person who has displayed a remarkable level of creativity and whose research and work has made a pivotal impact in applied ethology. 

The ISAE defines creativity as “the ability to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems or communicating with others.”

Nina joined the AWP as a faculty member in 2002. She is a global leader in the field of animal welfare science and is a frequently sought after speaker on a range of animal welfare topics both nationally and internationally.
