We would like to congratulate two of the Animal Welfare Program’s Applied Animal Biology BSc Graduates for their academic achievements. Amalia Urloiu and Meghan Lok were recognized with their respective awards on June 1st, the day of The Faculty of Land and Food Systems’ convocation. Both students have held Work Learn positions with the AWP since September 2022.
Congratulations to Amalia Urloiu, who is the Animal Welfare Program Support Assistant, and was awarded the University of British Columbia Medal in Applied Biology during the ceremony, an honour given annually to the top student among the Applied Biology graduating class.
Congratulations to Meghan Lok, who is the Animal Welfare Programs Communications & Media Assistant, and was awarded the Dean Blythe Eagles Medal at the Welcome Reception. This is an award given to the student in The Faculty of Land and Food Systems who has best been able to combine good academic standing with outstanding contributions in student or community affairs.
