APBI 317 (3) – ANIMALS USED IN SCIENCE: WELFARE AND ETHICS (previously called APBI 490 Animal Welfare and the Ethics of Laboratory Animal Use). Offered in winter 2019, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-1:50.
This course is open to anyone with 3rd or 4th year standing. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the controversial use of animals in science. You will learn about the social debate, governance, and animal welfare. It is a fun course with lots of discussion and expert guest speakers.
