UBC Undergraduate Animal Welfare Judging Teams Place 3rd and 4th in 2017 Assessment Contest at Iowa State University

Exciting news! The UBC undergraduate animal welfare judging teams, coached by MSc student Katie Mills and PhD student Laura Whalin, placed 3rd and 4th overall in the undergraduate division of the 17th annual Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging/Assessment Contest at Iowa State University (Nov. 18-19, 2017). Students representing UBC included Regina Chan, Maria Chen, Vanessa Cheung, Annie Faragher, Xena Janmohamed, Judy Li, Katie Radcliffe, Jacqueline Schaffer, Amandine Tooth, and Nadia Xenakis. Additionally, Katie Radcliffe and Nadia Xenakis placed 5th and 3rd individually, respectively.

This was the largest competition yet, with 17 undergraduate teams participating.
